2009 County Convention

    The 2009 County Convention was held at the Courthouse and lunch was served following at the Headquarters.      

     Representative Van Braxton was the keynote speaker and he highlighted the importance of the new budget.  Noting that it is going to be difficult to make the tough decisions regarding cuts, it must be done.

     He also said electing Democrats this year is even more important because they will be redrawing the districts next term.

     Josiah Whitley thanked the Chairman Bronnie Quinn for his service.  Chairman Quinn presented some appreciation plaques to several volunteers and thanked them for helping him over the past two years.

     New officers were elected, many for a second term.  Below is the slate.
